The Chairman of the Resident’s Association

A man (whose name we never learn) moves into his sister’s flat in an apartment building. It is supposed to be a temporary arrangement, but soon he realizes he’s become responsible for the Residents’ Association.

The Chairman of the Residents’ Association is a novel about the coexistence of strangers, the necessary maintenance of real estate, and the complex emotions of an apartment building’s residents.

An exquisitely well written novel that includes various comical and witty scenes from everyday life, in particular the day-to-day operation of residents' associations in large apartment buildings.

The plot is pretty thick for an uneventful story – another paradox that makes it an exciting read, a read about the uninteresting people we all know from modern apartment buildings.

An incredibly funny story. Very entertaining and well written.
