
Hilde Susan Jægtnes

Hilde Susan Jaegtnes was born in 1973 in Pennsylvania and moved to Norway when she was seven years old. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in International Relations from San Francisco State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing for Screen and Television from University of Southern California. Since 2012 she has published five books in Norway, most recently the novel I FOUNDED THE UNITED STATES in 2021, which was shortlisted for the Brage-award, P2’s Novel of the Year-award and Sørlandsprisen.
Jaegtnes also writes screenplays for film and TV, and co-wrote season 3 of the TV series OCCUPIED (Netflix). In 2017, she was shortlisted to the Norwegian film award AMANDA for best original screenplay for the feature film HANDLE WITH CARE.
