Sense of guilt
Kristina Steiner is a young lawyer, motivated and ambitious. A talented woman with a promising career and strong sense of justice. But she keeps people and emotions at bay. She is employed by a reputable law firm in Oslo where she is involved in demanding cases: rape, heavy violence and organized crime. She is facing her next leap in her career when she suddenly quits her job and disappears without trusting anyone. The police find no reason to initiate investigations since nothing indicates that something criminal has happened. Kristina’s parents do not believe that she has disappeared of her own volition, and assigns Tønnsberg lawyer Svend Foyn to find her. The traces Foyn follows will lead him into the dark corners of justice and law. We all have a story we live with. Sometimes it brings us to the edge of the cliff, through fear, hatred and love.
...in my opinion one of the most successful Norwegian authors in this genre (...)
